UNDP Afghanistan
UNDP has provided assistance to Afghanistan since the 1950's. During the 1970's, UNDP was a major development assistance partner in the country, helping build the capacity of many national institutions. During the 1990's, as the institutions of government became dysfunctional, UNDP continued to assist communities throughout the country, using its own resources as well as providing a means for bilateral partners to deliver their own aid through UNDP’s extensive outreach throughout the country. |
